What is your photo/recording policy?

Photos and video are welcome where our Amish friends are not involved, we ask you respect their beliefs and do not photograph or video when they are in the shot.

What if the tour is cancelled?

We will not cancel for rain, only severe weather will keep a tour from departing on time. On the slight chance we do cancel a tour due to an unforseen issue, guests will be notified and a message will be posted on our website.  Guests will have the option of exchanging their tickets for another time or receiving a refund.

What are the box office hours?

I’d like some information about Gift Cards.

Blue Gate Hospitality Gift Cards are the perfect choice for anyone who loves Shipshewana, the local Amish community, great food, music and shows.  They can be purchased in any denomination, never expire, and can be used toward any Blue Gate Tour.  They can also be used in any of our other Blue Gate businesses including the Blue Gate Restaurant and Bakery, Blue Gate Theatre, Blue Gate Garden Inn, and all the Blue Gate Retail Stores. You can purchase Gift Cards at the box office, over the phone, or online by clicking here.  Gift Cards can be redeemed in person or over the phone.

Do you have restrooms on the tour?

Many of our stops do have restroom facilities, but as the tour moves quickly guests are encouraged to be prepared so they don't miss any of the great stops. If you have special needs, please share those with the staff when ordering and the tour guide when you arrive.

How long do your tours run?

Our tours typically run 2 hours and 30 minutes, and visit three different stops along with some sightseeing between stops. Times may vary depending on traffic, and the amount of time the members of your group take with questions with our hosts.

As with the Blue Gate Theatre, we work very hard to provide you with the best experience possible in all our businesses.

What If I Want to Cancel My Tour?

All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable; however, they are exchangeable if notified within 24 hours of event. The only person who can cancel tickets is the person whose name is on the account. If there is a reason that no suitable tour time is available for exchange, the customer can elect to be issued a Blue Gate Hospitality gift card good for the amount of the order, less a $10 per ticket cancellation fee. Exceptions to the Refund & Exchange Policy include custom and group tours, please call for details.

Payment Policy

Payment for tickets is at the point of sale. If a credit card isn't available, customers may call the Box Office and send a check (if it is received at least a week before the tour), but NO SEATS WILL BE RESERVED until payment has been received.

My Plans Have Changed, Can I Exchange My Tour For Another Day?

We understand plans can change, if you need a different tour time or day, call 888.447.4725 to exchange the ones you have and just pay the difference, if any. One exchange per person, per tour.

We can't refund or exchange tickets for tours that are less than 24 hours away.
