Event Details
Southern Raised, a group of award winning kinfolk, trained in classical music but raised in the bluegrass soaked Ozark Mountains. They have created a Southern Raised trademark sound where classical meets bluegrass and city streets meets country roads. SR has morphed a progressive sound that spans Christian Country/ Bluegrass, Celtic and Classical. They're talented, they're energetic, they're Southern Raised. You will hear Beethoven's 5th like never B4, as the two genres become one at the hand of Southern Raised and when the siblings croon a ballad, it is nothing short of breathtaking. Be prepared to expect the unexpected as classical meets bluegrass and new life is breathed into the music and your soul.

Collectively they have received nominations from Singing News Fan Awards, Diamond Awards, Front Porch Fellowship and a staggering 32 SPBGMA Midwest nominations, Bass Performer of the Year, nominated 4-time Fiddle Performer of the Year, Band of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Christian Country Album of the Year, to name a few. SRB has been featured on RFD TV's Larry's Country Diner, Gospel Music Showcase hosted by Guy Penrod, RFD TV's Music City Show and many more. There's something about the sound of these siblings that harkens us to the halcyon days of hawthorn- filled air perfumed with the pungency of the spring blossoms. They're 4 string wielding siblings with a strong passion for music that has dug deep into their roots and have taken their music to the cutting edge of creativity. Southern Raised-Committed to the Lord, each other and bringing their music to the people" defines this phenomenal group of three sisters, Lindsay (bass), Sarah (banjo), Emily (mandolin & violin) and their brother Matthew (guitar), that are sweeping the country with a sound that has been described as "The other side of amazing."

Their most recent album is helmed by Gaither Vocal Band's Kevin Williams and engineered by the legendary Bil VornDick. As an engineer and producer, 7 time Grammy winning VornDick is responsible for crafting the sounds on countless albums including those of Alison Krauss, Ralph Stanley, Marty Robins and Bela Fleck. There is a warmth and realness about them that draws you in, making them one of the best, most unique sounds on the scene. They have the distinct ability to cross genres, winning the hearts of all who hear them. When asked their heart behind the music, Southern Raised says, "Jesus is the reason we sing, the passion that burns, the cause we carry and the One we love! We thank Him for allowing us the honor to share His message with the world!" "They thrill me with their singing and playing. They intrigue me with their ideas. They inspire me with their love for the Lord and each other. In short, they are amazing." -Kevin Williams, Gaither Vocal Band, Humorist and Guitar Soloist
