Prep Cook
Join our kitchen team as a prep cook at The Blue Gate Restaurant in Shipshewana, IN. As a prep cook, your responsibilities include preparing food, cooking simple dishes, following recipes, assembling and plating meals, cleaning and sanitizing your work area, and other tasks as assigned. We cross-train our people to provide them with the knowledge and skills to work in all areas of our kitchen. Experience in the food industry is helpful. Paid training is provided! We are hiring immediately!

You can work full-time or part-time as a prep cook, up to five shifts per week. Working on Saturdays and evenings is required. Wages start at $16.00 per hour.

Kitchen Line
Join our team at the Blue Gate Restaurant to work on our kitchen line. In this fast-paced job, you will ensure that all plates are portioned properly, look professional, and leave the kitchen efficiently. Other responsibilities include stocking and organizing the line, cleaning and sanitizing the workstation, making sandwiches, operating fryers, and assisting with various kitchen tasks as assigned.

You can work full-time or part-time on the kitchen line, up to five weekly shifts, including evenings and Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays. Hourly wages for adults start at $16.00 per hour. Experience is not required but preferred! We provide paid training, and our kitchen staff is cross-trained so that each person can build new skills and reach their full potential.

Driver
Join the Blue Gate Hospitality team as a driver. Our drivers use a company-assigned van to transport employees from their homes to work safely and back to their homes in a cost-efficient, timely, and courteous manner. As a company driver, you must promptly arrive at each location to ensure that the person comes to work on time. In addition, as a valued member of the Blue Gate team, you interact with people from many company divisions, and managers rely on you to care for their employees and keep the department on schedule.

Driver Responsibilities: 
•	Transport employees
•	Keep to the schedule
•	Use navigation/map to locate and drive to addresses
•	Communicate in a professional and courteous manner
•	Maintain the van, including cleaning, collecting trash, checking/adding fluids, adding air to tires, getting fuel, etc.
•	Various jobs in downtime, including washing dishes, sorting silverware, light kitchen work, and other assigned duties.

Our driver can work full-time or part-time, three or four shifts per week from 2:00 pm until 11:00 pm, including Saturdays. No Sundays! Pay starts at $15.00 per hour based on experience, and paid training is provided. We are hiring immediately!

Driver Requirements:
•	Must have a valid driver’s license 
•	Must have or get a for-hire endorsement
•	Minimum of 4 years of driving experience
•	Must be 21 years of age or older
•	Ability to find addresses
•	Clear background screen and medical exam

Buffet Attendant
Shipshewana, Indiana, is a popular destination for travelers from all over the country. Many visitors come to the Blue Gate Restaurant to enjoy the well-known buffet. As a buffet attendant, you will help us deliver a great customer experience with your hard work and positive attitude. You can be the reason they leave with a smile and return in the future. Buffet attendant responsibilities include:

Stocking and cleaning the buffet
Ordering and transporting food
Communicating professionally with kitchen staff and guests
Completing other duties as assigned
Assisting the kitchen team as needed

We have full-time and part-time positions available. Adult buffet attendants earn $16.00 per hour; experience isn’t required, and paid training is provided. In addition, our kitchen staff is cross-trained so that each person can build new skills and reach their full potential.

Cleaner
Join our cleaning crew at the Blue Gate Restaurant. As a cleaner, you will help keep the building looking its best. Responsibilities include cleaning all areas of the restaurant, including:
•	Vacuuming
•	Sweeping
•	Mopping
•	Dusting
•	Wiping counters
•	Cleaning bathrooms
•	Other tasks and projects as time allows.

You will work two or three morning shifts per week as a cleaner, including other Saturdays. Cleaning experience is preferred, but we provide paid training! Hourly wages start at $14.00 per hour. We are hiring immediately and look forward to meeting you!

Kitchen Manager
The Blue Gate Restaurant is a large facility in Shipshewana, Indiana, offering a wholesome atmosphere and a solid customer base from all over the country. As a vital part of the Blue Gate team, our kitchen manager has the opportunity to help carry on the Blue Gate legacy and lead us to a new level of excellence! This is a full-time salaried position working five shifts per week, including Saturdays.
As our kitchen manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of our kitchen, including food production and quality, supervision and training of staff, and other operational tasks as assigned by the general manager. Our ideal candidate is a strong leader with a positive attitude who can build and maintain a cohesive team, organizational skills, and an open mind. Experience in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant is preferred, but we will consider strong leaders from other industries!
Kitchen Manager Primary Responsibilities:
•	Maintain food quality, consistency, and cost while following company recipes and delivering a great product in an efficient manner
•	Lead by example and focus on building a cohesive team and a positive work environment
•	Manage the performance of all team members, including supervising, training, performing evaluations, coaching, and discipline 
•	Teach and enforce safe food handling procedures, including food storage, temperature control, and proper cleaning

Kitchen Manager Qualifications:
•	Experience in a commercial kitchen with an understanding of all back-of-the-house operations

Salad Maker
Join the Blue Gate Restaurant kitchen team as a salad maker. A salad maker will prepare, make, and plate salads and side items while mindful of appearance, portion size, and garnishing. 

Salad Maker Responsibilities:
•	Wash, cut, slice, and chop lettuce and vegetable. 
•	Properly plate salads for portion control and appearance.
•	Put salad dressings and condiments into serving side containers.
•	Stock cooler with salads and side items (Must be in stock at all times)
•	Maintain a neat and orderly workspace.
•	Perform other duties as needed
