Driver - [Jul 01, 2025]
Join the Blue Gate Hospitality team as a driver. Our drivers use a company-assigned van to transport employees from their homes to work safely and back to their homes in a cost-efficient, timely, and courteous manner. As a company driver, you must arrive promptly at each location to ensure that the person arrives at work on time. Additionally, as a valued member of the Blue Gate team, you interact with people from various company divisions, and managers rely on you to support their employees and ensure the department remains on schedule.

Driver Responsibilities: 
•	Transport employees
•	Keep to the schedule.
•	Use navigation/map to locate and drive to addresses.
•	Communicate professionally and courteously.
•	Maintain the van, including cleaning, collecting trash, checking and adding fluids, inflating tires, refueling, etc.
•	Keep accurate driving records (logs)
•	Various downtime jobs include washing dishes, sorting silverware, light kitchen work, and other assigned duties.

As a driver, you’ll work three or four times weekly from 2:00 pm until midnight on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. These shifts are required! No Sundays! Hours will vary during the winter months!

Pay starts at up to $15.00 per hour, and paid training is provided. You will work a long shift and late hours. The ideal person would not work another job on the same day that they drive for us. It would help if you enjoy people, such as driving and working late.

Driver Requirements:
•	Must have a valid driver’s license. 
•	Must have or get a for-hire endorsement.
•	Minimum of 5 years of driving experience
•	Must be 21 years of age or older.
•	Must live within 20 miles of Shipshewana, Indiana.
•	Must be familiar with the area, roads, and routes surrounding Shipshewana.
•	Ability to find addresses.
•	Clear background screen and medical exam.

Dishwasher - [Jun 18, 2025]
Join our kitchen team as a dishwasher at The Blue Gate Restaurant in Shipshewana, Indiana. As a dishwasher, you will efficiently clean and wash dishes, flatware, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment while maintaining a safe and organized work area. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of bus carts, tubs, the dish machine, and garbage containers. Other responsibilities include maintaining the entire dish room area as sanitary and orderly as possible, including the dishwashing machine, mats, and sinks. A dishwasher will also polish the dishwasher and perform nightly closing duties and tasks as assigned by your managers.
 
Dishwasher Requirements:
•	Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing for an entire shift, bending, stretching, moving, and lifting. 
•	Must agree to work the closing shift, including Fridays and Saturdays.
•	Must work efficiently and perform well within a team environment.
•	Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.

As a dishwasher, you will work up to three times a week from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm or until finished (possibly midnight), including Fridays and Saturdays. No Sundays! We offer paid training, with adult hourly rates starting at $14.00 per hour.

Breakfast Cook - [Jul 01, 2025]
Join our team as a breakfast cook at the Blue Gate Garden Inn in Shipshewana, Indiana. This first-shift position works five shifts weekly from 5:00 am to noon. Team members are trained at all breakfast stations, including the grill and omelet station. You will prepare large quantities of delicious breakfast items to help ensure that each guest gets a great start to their day. 

A breakfast cook will produce large quantities of food in a fast-paced environment. Wages start at up to $15.00 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential on Sundays. Cooking experience is required!

Breakfast Cook Job Duties:
•	Following recipes to produce high volume.
•	Preparing dishes for the buffet.

Join our team at the Blue Gate Restaurant to work on the kitchen line and grill. In this fast-paced job, you will ensure that all plates are portioned properly, look professional, and leave the kitchen efficiently. Other responsibilities include:
•	Making salads and sandwiches.
•	Stocking and organizing the line.
•	Cleaning and sanitizing the workstation.
•	Preparing and cooking chicken.
•	Operating fryers.
•	Assisting with various kitchen tasks as assigned.

You could be a good fit for this position if you are detail-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced work environment.

We need someone to work from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm three times per week and a full-time person working five times per week from 4:00 pm until closing. Saturdays are required! Open availability is preferred! We are closed on Sundays! The hourly wage for adults starts at up to $17.00 per hour. Experience is not needed, and we provide paid training. Our kitchen staff is cross-trained, allowing each person to develop new skills and reach their full potential.
