Dishwasher (Part-time) - [Mar 18, 2025]
Join our kitchen team as a dishwasher at The Blue Gate Restaurant in Shipshewana, Indiana. You will efficiently clean and wash dishes, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment while maintaining a safe and organized work area as a dishwasher. In addition, you will retain bus carts, tubs, garbage containers, and the dish machine. Other responsibilities include keeping the entire dish room area sanitary and orderly, including the dishwashing machine, washing mats, and sinks. A dishwasher will also polish the dishwasher and perform nightly closing duties and tasks as assigned by your managers.
 
Dishwasher Requirements:
· Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing for an entire shift, bending, stretching, moving, and lifting. 
· Must agree to work the closing shift, including Fridays and Saturdays.
· Must work efficiently and perform well within a team environment.
· Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
· Communicate professionally and effectively. 
· Must be at least 18 years old.

As a part-time dishwasher, you will work up to four weekly shifts, including our closing shift, from 4:00 pm until finished (usually 10:00 pm or later), including Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. We prefer open availability on weekdays and require open availability on Saturdays. No Sundays! We provide paid training, and adult hourly rates start at $13.00 per hour.

Driver (Part-time) - [Apr 16, 2025]
Join the Blue Gate Hospitality team as a driver. Our drivers use a company-assigned van to transport employees from their homes to work safely and back to their homes cost-efficiently, timely, and courteously. As a company driver, you must promptly arrive at each location to ensure that the person comes to work on time. In addition, as a valued member of the Blue Gate team, you interact with people from many company divisions, and managers rely on you to care for their employees and keep the department on schedule.

Driver Responsibilities: 
•	Transport employees
•	Keep to the schedule.
•	Use navigation/map to locate and drive to addresses.
•	Communicate professionally and courteously.
•	Maintain the van, including cleaning, collecting trash, checking/adding fluids, adding air to tires, getting fuel, etc.
•	Keep accurate driving records (logs)
•	Various downtime jobs include washing dishes, sorting silverware, light kitchen work, and other assigned duties.

As a driver, you’ll work three times weekly from 2:00 pm until midnight (on average). These shifts are required! No Sundays! Hours will vary during the winter months!

Pay starts at up to $15.00 per hour, and paid training is provided. You will work a long shift and late hours. The ideal person would not work another job on the same day that they drive for us. It would help if you enjoyed people, like driving and working late.

Driver Requirements:
•	Must have a valid driver’s license. 
•	Must have or get a for-hire endorsement.
•	Minimum of 5 years of driving experience
•	Must be 21 years of age or older.
•	Must live within 20 miles of Shipshewana, Indiana.
•	Must be familiar with the area, roads, and routes surrounding Shipshewana.

Food Prep Worker - [Mar 25, 2025]
Join our kitchen team as a food prep worker at The Blue Gate Restaurant. We are a busy restaurant in the heart of Amish country with visitors from all over the country. We are focused on teamwork and a consistent quality product. Your effort will ensure that guests enjoy a good meal and leave with a smile.

Food prep workers' responsibilities include the following:
•	Preparing food.
•	Following recipes.
•	Making simple dishes.
•	Assembling and plating meals.
•	Cleaning and sanitizing your work area.
•	Other tasks as assigned.

Experience in the food industry is helpful but optional. We cross-train all team members to provide them with the knowledge and skills to work in all areas of our kitchen.

Donut Maker (3rd Shift) - [Mar 27, 2025]
Join the Blue Gate Bakery team as a donut maker on the third shift. Our donut makers should be self-motivated, task-oriented, focused on details, and adaptable. Making donuts is hard work, but the result of your effort is a great product, happy customers, and the satisfaction of your accomplishment. 

Donut Maker Responsibilities:
•	Weighing, mixing, cutting the dough
•	Frying and glazing donuts. 
•	Safely use and maintain equipment, including stand mixer, fryer, etc.
•	Clean the work area, wash dishes, sweep, mop, etc.

Retail Cashier - [Apr 22, 2025]
Blue Gate Hospitality is seeking a cashier to work in our retail stores, The Shipshewana Craft Barn and The Shipshewana Furniture Company. Retail cashier job duties include greeting all customers, assisting customers with their purchases, operating cash registers, and contributing to the overall operations of the stores. Our cashier should be outgoing and friendly and have the desire to help others. 

As a retail cashier, you will work up to four days weekly through the fall, including Fridays, Saturdays, and some evenings. The current store hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm and from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Wages start at up to $15.00 per hour. 

Retail Cashier Requirements:

Breakfast Cook - [Apr 23, 2025]
Join our team as a breakfast cook at the Blue Gate Garden Inn in Shipshewana, Indiana. This first-shift position works five shifts weekly from 5:00 am to 11:00 am or noon. Team members are trained at all breakfast stations. You will prepare large quantities of delicious breakfast items to help ensure that each guest gets a great start to their day. 

A breakfast cook will produce large quantities of food in a fast-paced environment. Wages start at up to $15.00 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential on Sundays. Cooking experience is required!

Shipshewana Furniture Company seeks a seasonal furniture sales assistant and cashier to join our Traditions by Shipshewana Furniture team. This person must be a team player and enjoy assisting customers. A warm and welcoming personality is expected! The job will include assisting customers in purchasing goods, including outdoor & indoor furniture, providing excellent customer care, and performing other responsibilities as assigned. 

The furniture sales assistant and cashier will work five days a week, including Saturdays, into the fall. Our stores are closed on Sundays. Experience in sales and customer support is recommended but not required. The base pay is $14.00 per hour.

Join our team as a server/waiter/waitress at the Blue Gate Restaurant in Shipshewana, Indiana. A server/waiter/waitress should be friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused! Daily responsibilities include:
