Some call The Beat Goes On a Broadway-style show. We call it a theatrical concert experience.

The production meticulously recreates Cher's live music, iconic look, and commanding stage presence with the precision of a top-tier tribute-but it goes further. Through electrifying live performances of Cher's greatest hits spanning six decades, combined with first-person storytelling, audiences are invited inside her extraordinary life and legacy-from her childhood and film career to her groundbreaking fashion and lasting influence on generations of fans and the world of entertainment.

Dramatic video enhancements and multiple costume transformations seamlessly bridge the high energy of a live concert with the emotional depth of theatrical storytelling, creating a fully immersive experience with broad audience appeal.

Audience participation is a standout and much-loved element of the show. Similar to the interactive spirit of Blue Man Group, McClowry as "CHER" incorporates moments of improvisation with the crowd and select on-stage volunteers. Audiences are invited to sing, dance, and clap along, creating shared "bonding moments" that run throughout the production and make each performance feel spontaneous, personal, and unforgettable.

At its heart, The Beat Goes On is a story of empowerment, hope, and fearless reinvention-capturing the rise, fall, and resurgence of an icon. Packed with decades of unforgettable hit music into a powerful 90-minute journey, audiences will laugh, cry, feel inspired-and remember why Cher remains one of the most influential entertainers of all time.

MEET OUR "CHER"

Lisa McClowry is an internationally touring stage performer and recording artist and the creator of The Beat Goes On Show. In everyday life, she bears little resemblance to Cher, making her onstage transformation especially compelling. Becoming Cher is a two-hour process that blends makeup, movement, acting, and vocal performance, drawing on years of professional training and experience.

A classically trained soprano, Lisa brings vocal precision, emotional depth, and authenticity to Cher's iconic contralto sound, honoring the music while creating a genuine connection with audiences. She has been a professional performer since the age of 15 and wrote her first award-winning song at just seven years old.

Her voice and music have been featured in major motion pictures, including The Rugrats in Paris: The Movie and The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, as well as television and radio campaigns for national brands such as TRESemme Hair Care Products and Applebee's. Her recording career includes multiple original albums, among them Spyglass Hill, Time Signatures, and Lisa McClowry Sings Acoustic Alchemy.

Lisa's theatrical credits include Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady), Maria (The Sound of Music), Sarah Brown (Guys and Dolls), and the dramatic role of Madge in Picnic. Her professional training spans singing, acting, comedy, and improvisation, including study at the Players Workshop of Second City Chicago. She holds a degree from Columbia College Chicago and received a scholarship to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

With over 30 years as a professional stage performer and recording artist, Lisa continues to tour internationally, connecting deeply with audiences through music and what she calls "bonding moments."

When she's not on stage, Lisa enjoys slowing things down with quiet walks in nature, getting her hands dirty in the garden, and spending time with her husband Perry, her dog Huey, and the people she loves. She lives by a simple motto: "Feel the fear and do it anyway.
